ā¤ļø My New Favorite Job Board: TrueUp
I think Iām in love š, and itās with a job board. Job boards are everywhere, but itās difficult to know which ones to spend your time on. From what Iāve seen, job boards can be graded on 3 main criteria:
Niche - are these jobs even relevant to me?
Quality - can I trust the quality of these job postings?
UX - can I effectively find the right jobs for my situation?
In the case of TrueUp, I am going to focus on two factors that both fall under UX and that is their āCurated Company Listsā filter, and their TrueUp AI.
Filters, filters, filters!
The āCurated Company Listsā filter is š„. Being able to browse by āNo Recent Layoffsā or āSalary Listedā may seem like small things, but this saves so much time narrowing down which jobs fit you beyond the details of the role.
A.I. where it should be
When youāre logged in, each job has AI actions attached to it that leverage AI to compare your resume / info with the details of the role and help show you where youāre gaps are. It will even create an interview prep plan or generate your ideal LinkedIn headline.

Healthcare and Construction
The U.S. job market continued its slow trend in July, adding 114,000 jobs, well below the monthly average of 215,000 over the past year. The unemployment rate remained at 4.3%, the highest since 2021. Sectors such as health care, construction, and transportation saw modest job gains, while industries like information and social assistance experienced declines in hiring.
