🔥 Hot & Trending Companies to Keep Your Eyes on This Month

Each week, in one form or another, we encourage the Offboard community to avoid ‘spray and pray’ application strategies. There’s simply too much noise. But if you find the right role within the right company, you’ll find yourself hyper-motivated to get yourself seen by the right people at the right time.
The first step is to find a company that is moving in the right direction. We’ve done our research to surface 7 companies to keep an eye on this November, and help explain why they’re trending up right now. 🎁 As a bonus at the end, we’ve added some hot roles to look out for as well that just might have that job security you’re looking for.
7 Companies to Look Out For 👀

Cybersecurity for assets and critical infrastructure
Why it is hot: Armis raised $435M at a $6.1B valuation, explicitly prepping for IPO. Funding at this scale usually precedes hiring across product and GTM. Target backend, security, PM, solutions architecture, enterprise AE.

AI marketing engagement
Why it is hot: $100M Series F led by Goldman to expand in North America and deepen its Merlin AI suite. Target PMs with growth and lifecycle chops, data and ML engineers, partner marketing, enterprise AE.
(Logo and website coming soon perhaps??)
Mind Robotics (Rivian spinoff)
Industrial AI and robotics
Why it is hot: brand new company with $115M seed to apply AI to factories and operations. Target robotics software, computer vision, simulation, time series data, safety.

Beta Technologies
Electric aviation
Why it is hot: priced IPO above range, raised ~$1B, and closed day one up. Next phases are FAA certification and production scale up. Target systems and test, power electronics, embedded, manufacturing engineering, regulatory program management.

AWS
Cloud and AI infrastructure
Why it is hot: I know I know, didn’t they just layoff 30,000 people??? Yes, yes they did. However, as is often the case, there is a boomerang effect. Not to mention they re-accelerated to ~20% YoY growth, added 3.8 GW capacity in 12 months to meet AI demand. Target SRE, capacity planning, data center engineering, ML Ops, partner SA.

Decentralized social
Why it is hot: hit 40M users and rolling out a dislike signal to tune feeds. Target distributed systems, ranking and relevance, trust and safety, community tools, policy UX.

Enterprise AI
Why it is hot: projects $70B revenue by 2028 on B2B demand. Target applied ML, inference optimization, eval and safety, solutions engineering, technical partnerships.
But what roles should I look for?
Product managers who ship AI: MoEngage and Bluesky are shipping AI-inflected features. Show a PRD with model KPIs, guardrails, and an A/B plan that isolates model lift.
Applied AI and ML Ops: driven by Anthropic’s B2B surge, MoEngage’s AI roadmap, and AWS’s AI capacity build. Show PyTorch, vector DBs, CI for models, eval and drift monitoring.
Cloud infra and SRE for AI scale: AWS growth plus 3.8 GW capacity means GPU fleets, networking, and FinOps matter. Show Terraform, Kubernetes, service mesh, autoscaling for accelerators.
Security engineering and solutions: Armis’s pre-IPO round signals hiring for cloud posture, asset discovery, OT and IoT. Show EDR, CSPM, vuln pipelines, incident tooling.
Robotics and industrial AI: Mind Robotics will hire for ROS 2, CV, simulation, time series forecasting, safety cases.

Education Boosts Pay, Training, and AI Access - Here’s how to navigate it

Overview
Education still pays. Any bump in schooling ties to higher earnings and more upskilling and AI exposure, according to the new analysis from Indeed Hiring Lab.
The Details
Young workers with a BA face 4.3% unemployment vs 6.2% for high school grads.
35% of jobs require a BA today; projected 42% by 2031.
BA holders earn $322 more per week than workers overall (median).
Share earning under $50k: HS 75%, some college 71%, associate 65%, BA 45%.
No employer training access: HS 57%, some college 48%, associate 40%, BA 33%.
AI use at work: HS ~≤50%, some college ≤50%, associate 56%, BA 67%; personal use rises with education (54% to 71%).
Recent grads’ market is soft: unemployment ~5.3%–5.8% in 2025.
Why It Matters
Hiring is slow, but education still opens doors to better pay and training. For tech jobseekers, credentials plus visible skills speed interviews and offers.
Early-career: Stack a cert plus an AI project to bridge to BA-preferred roles.
Mid-career: If you’re “some college,” an associate or targeted cert can unlock employer training.
Non-degreed engineers/PMs: Skills-first hiring exists, but many postings still screen for BA; counter with portfolios and third-party credentials.
Actions You Can Take
Target BA-optional postings at firms lowering degree filters; save 10 roles and sort by “training provided.” Use this week’s listings.
Add a 3-bullet “AI usage” line to your resume (tool, task, outcome). Reflect the 67% BA workplace usage benchmark.
Earn a fast AWS/GCP or data cert module and pin it to LinkedIn. Tie to roles projecting a 42% BA requirement by 2031.
Filter jobs with “apprenticeship,” “trainee,” or “on-the-job training.” Prioritize employers offering training to reduce the 33%–57% no-training risk.
For salary screens, cite BLS medians: BA holders’ weekly median is $1,754; overall is ~$1,206 (Q2). Anchor comp asks.
If you have some college, add “In progress: AAS/BA (X credits completed).” Close the perception gap noted among noncompleters.
